bbPress: How to Remove Freshness Date and Time in Forum & Topic Posts

Hi Dear bbp.design bbPress Plugins Users,

We received a ticket, in which the user told us he want to remove last topic freshness date from his bbPress forum, also remove topic date from his bbPress forum topics, I think more users have same question, we are happy to reply in here publicly 🙂

How to Remove Freshness Date and Time in bbPress Forum & bbPress Topic Posts?

Maybe you do not hope show freshness date and time in your bbPress forum, also remove date from topic description section too, it is very easy to do, just via a few clicks in the Customize bbPress Plugin , after installed customize bbpress plugin, please:

#1 Login wordpress admin area

#2 In back end, please click “custom bbpress” menu item

#3 Then you will open “Custom bbPress Settings” Panel, in Custom bbPress Settings Panel, you will find 4 options:

#a Remove bbPress Forum Freshness Date and Link

#b Remove bbPress Author IP

#c Remove bbPress date from topic and reply

#d Change cloumn heading “Freshness” on bbPress forum

It looks like this:

#4 Please enable customize bbPress option “Remove bbPress Forum Freshness Date and Link” and “Remove bbPress date from topic and reply”

Then all bbPress plugin freshness date will be removed from the whole bbPress forums. 🙂

Please note, we known some coders give a suggestion to change css code to hide data and time, but by that way, there are still have some problem:

1: Actually the date and time is still can be found in page source, and in search engines, so that means if the date and time is privacy information in your bbPress forum, so that way is not safe,  our customize bbPress plugin will remove date and time completely

2: By that way, in the topic description section, you will still find date listed in bbPress topic description, our customize bbPress plugin will remove all of them from the whole bbPress forum 🙂
